Angie:

What an amazing show(s)! When I left the show on 2/29, I thought that it couldn't possibly get any better than that - I was wrong! Even though the set list didn't change at all, the show did get better on 3/1! The whole band was spot on all night and obviously loving every minute of it! I don't think Don or Roger stopped smiling the entire night! The set list was (in the wrong order - I forgot to write it down!):

Silver Tongue

Woman From Tokyo

Strange Kind of Woman

I Got Your Number

Knocking At Your Back Door

Contact Lost/Well Dressed Guitar

Bananas

DA Solo/Perfect Strangers

Highway Star

Maybe I'm a Leo

Pictures of Home

Never Before

When a Blind Man Cries

Space Trucking'

Lazy

Smoke On The Water

Speed King

Hush

I think that's all of them. The set list was the same both nights - just a little variation in the improv stuff before Hush - the first night they played a bit of Cathy's Clown, and the second night they played Jailhouse Rock.

Of course, the best part of the entire experience was getting to talk to Don again. He was nice enough to set aside a few passes for me, and I got to have my picture taken with him again, and have him sign a few things for me. He also introduced me to his younger son, Colin - I didn't talk to him much, but he seemed like a very nice young man (I think about 18-20 years old). Don also brought me upstairs to his dressing room and we had a drink together and talked for a little while. What a wonderful, sweet, kind person he is! I can't wait for them to come back to the US - Don told me they would definitely be coming back later this summer, for a more relaxed and extensive US tour. Hopefully they'll come a little closer to MD this time
